Leak test for food packaging with inert gas
Fastest gas leak detection for CO₂ protective gas in food packaging
Our Gasanalyzer V3 detects even the smallest gas leaks in food packaging. Inert gases in food packaging such as CO₂ or alcoholes (Ethanol) are used in food packaging to prevent mould growth or spoilage of the packaged food. The leaking protective gas is detected within milliseconds by our Gasanalyzers. This enables faster production cycles and the detection of smaller leaks.
You can choose between gas sensors for 1000 ppm to 5000 ppm measurement range with a detection threshold of 1 –20 ppm .
Response time versus accuracy
Using adjustable digital filter configurations, the sensor’s response time can be adapted to the system cycle. Increasing the measurement time of the gas sensing cycle further reduces the detection threshold for the protective gas significantly to below 1 ppm.
Reliably detecting leaks smaller than 25 µm
Thanks to the sensor’s sensitivity, leaks with a diameter of less than 25 µm are reliably detected within 1–2 seconds. Leaky packaging can thus be reliably sorted out.
OEM Applications
Our gas analyzers are used by our customers in a variety of leak detection devices: these range from automatic in-line leak detection in large-scale industrial food production, capable of performing up to four tests per second, or for manual packaging inspection using benchtop apparatuses.
